1 Killed in Buttonwillow 2-Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Lerdo Highway
Buttonwillow, California (November 13, 2017) – A woman was killed in a traffic collision in Buttonwillow on Friday, November 10, according to a local news source.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway near Lerdo Highway at about 6:35 a.m.
According to a statement by the CHP, a car drifted and rear-ended a Toyota Tacoma. The impact of the collision caused the female driver of the car to lose control of the car which then rolled over ejecting her.
The woman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity, however, was not immediately established.
No other person was injured in the collision.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
