77-Year-Old Mary Montague Dead in Dixon Car Crash at Batavia and Midway Roads
Dixon, California (July 9, 2018) – The Solano County coroner’s office released the name of the 77-year-old woman who died Thursday afternoon in a traffic crash near an intersection in Dixon as Mary Montague, according to a local news source.
The Dixon woman died in a two-vehicle collision that happened at approximately 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Batavia and Midway roads.
According to the article, Montague was driving a Toyota Camry that collided with a Hyundai Elantra at the intersection.
Reportedly, Montague was driving the Toyota eastbound on Midway Road when a 22-year-old Modesto woman driving the Hyundai southbound on Batavia Road ran a red light and collided with the left side of Montague’s vehicle. The Toyota overturned and hit a tree.
Authorities said Montague was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities continue with an investigation into the collision.
