Woman Injured in San Diego Auto-Pedestrian Crash at Dawes and Emerald Streets
San Diego, California (December 2, 2017) – A woman was injured after being hit by a vehicle in the Pacific Beach Community of San Diego on Friday, December 1.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. in the area of Dawes and Emerald streets.
Officials say the woman was walking across Dawes Street when she was hit by a vehicle which was making a turn at the intersection.
The woman sustained major injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Although an investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing, authorities confirmed that the woman was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
