Rasenoch Allen Sought after Fatal Oakland Pedestrian Accident at 26th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard
Oakland, California (April 15, 2019) – 27-year-old Rasenoch Allen is being sought by police after a hit-and-run accident that killed a mother and her son Saturday evening in East Oakland, according to authorities.
The crash happened at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at 26th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
As per the officials 6-year-old Angel Garcia and 30-year-old Alma Vasquez of Oakland, and the boy’s uncle, a 20-year-old Oakland man, were heading for a laundromat in the location and had entered a marked crosswalk at the intersection when they were struck by a westbound two-door black Mercedes.
Garcia and Vasquez suffered critical injuries and were transported to local hospitals where they died. The 20-year-old man sustained critical injuries and was also transported to the hospital.
Authorities have identified Allen as the hit-and-run Mercedes driver. The suspect vehicle was located abandoned in another area of Oakland.
One person has reportedly been arrested following the crash but Allen is still at large.
