1 Killed in Vista Pedestrian Collision on Route 78 at Vista Village Drive
Vista, California (December 31, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed in an alleged hit-and-run collision early Saturday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision occurred at about 4:05 a.m. December 30, on the eastbound side of Route 78 at Vista Village Drive.
As per the report, officers responded to the scene and found a 19-year-old Hispanic man lying unresponsive on the freeway. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car that hit the pedestrian left the scene of the accident. The description of the car was not immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
