1 Injured in Newark 2-Car Collision near Paseo Padre Parkway
Newark, California (September 20, 2017) – One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 84 on Tuesday morning.
CHP officials were dispatched to the scene of the accident which occurred at about 9:56 a.m. September 19, in the westbound lanes of the highway near Paseo Padre Parkway off-ramp.
Officials arrived at the scene and found a green Toyota Corolla and a gray Toyota Scion believed to have been involved in the collision.
Details on the manner in which the accident happened were not immediately available, but witnesses at the scene say that a driver of one of the vehicle hopped out of the car and fled the scene on foot. The claim was not however confirmed.
One person was injured in the collision and was taken to the hospital for treatment. However, the extent of the injuries was not immediately established. The identity of the victim was also withheld.
The police are yet to determine the cause of the crash.
