Man Hurt in Chula Vista Pedestrian Accident at 2nd Avenue and Madrona Street Identified
Chula Vista, California (December 8, 2017) – Dr. Michael Samuel was identified as the pedestrian who was hit and injured by a vehicle on Sunday, November 27.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. at 2nd Avenue and Madrona Street.
Samuel, a Rabbi of the Temple Beth Shalom, reportedly exited his parked his car and was walking across 2nd Avenue when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.
Rabbi Samuel sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to UC San Diego Health for treatment.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that the motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
It was also established that the man had been using a crosswalk when the accident occurred.
