1 Injured in Merced Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 59 near Rahilly Road
Merced, California (November 15, 2017) – A woman was injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Merced on Monday, November 13, according to a local news source.
The four-vehicle collision occurred at about 10 a.m. on Highway 59 near Rahilly Road.
Officials say a 45-year-old man was traveling northbound on the road in his Dodge pickup truck when he came upon three vehicles stopped ahead of him.
The pickup truck then rear-ended a Honda CRV driven by the woman.
The impact of the collision caused the CRV to strike a Chevrolet which was ahead of it. The Chevy consequently crashed into a Honda van.
The 45-year-old driver of the Honda CRV sustained unknown injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.
Both female drivers of the Chevy and the van were evaluated at the scene.
