Boy Killed in Whitewater Car Crash at Tamarack and Chaparral Roads Identified
Whitewater, California (November 21, 2017) – Matthew Fajardo, 4, was identified as the boy who died following a traffic accident which occurred in Whitewater, Riverside, on Monday, November 13.
According to a local news source, the fatal two-vehicle collision occurred at Tamarack and Chaparral roads at an unspecified time.
According to a statement by the CHP, the boy was riding in the front passenger seat of the car driven by her pregnant vehicle when their vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle which had failed to yield to a red light at the intersection.
The impact of the collision threw the boy forward and hit his head on the dashboard.
The boy sustained serious injuries and was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries a few days later.
No further information was provided.
