Mary Evers Killed in Mountain View Pedestrian Accident at El Camino Real and Palo Alto Avenue
Mountain View, California (April 16, 2019) – 59-year-old Mary Ellen Cabanski Evers has been identified as the woman killed in a pedestrian crash Saturday night in Mountain View, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
The fatal crash occurred at El Camino Real and Palo Alto Avenue at around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, April 13.
As per the officials, Evers was struck by a vehicle on westbound El Camino Real for reasons still under investigation. Evers suffered fatal injuries and she was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities said that the woman driving the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police did not believe alcohol and drugs to be factors in the incident.
Officials closed eastbound lanes of El Camino Real and Shoreline Boulevard to give way to an on-scene investigation.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
