Man Killed in Fatal Santa Ana Pedestrian Crash on 17th Street
Santa Ana, California (January 13, 2018) – A man died in a suspected hit-and-run accident Thursday morning in Santa Ana, according to the Santa Ana Police.
The collision took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11 in the 1100 block of W. 17th Street.
Troopers said that they found the victim lying on the roadway as well as debris and suspected a hit-and-run crash. They believed the pedestrian was walking along the roadway of the eastbound lanes of 17th Street before being struck.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities described the suspect’s vehicle as a white car with front-end damage.
The CHP is investigating the fatal incident.
