3 Injured in Laguna Niguel Car Crash on Highway 73 near Greenfield Drive
Laguna Niguel, California (November 26, 2017) – A major injury traffic accident was reported in Laguna Niguel in Orange County on Wednesday, November 22.
According to a local news release, the accident occurred on Highway 73 near Greenfield Drive at about 9:20 p.m.
Officials of the Orange Fire Authority confirmed that three vehicles were involved in the collision. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to overturn.
The driver of the overturned vehicle had to be extricated by the paramedics. The man, believed to be in his 40s, reportedly sustained major injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
A 6-year-old boy and a man in his 60s, who were in one of the vehicles, were also injured in the collision. The two were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries were described as moderate.
The identities of the patients were not immediately established.
An investigation to determine the manner and the cause of the accident is ongoing.
