1 Killed and 2 Injured in Madera Car Crash on Road 37
Madera, California (November 28, 2017) – Luis Lopez, 11, was killed while his 9-year-old brother Matthew Lopez was injured after a vehicle crashed into their home on Saturday, November 25.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred along Road 37 at about 9:30 a.m.
Officials say a motorist lost control of his vehicle which then left the roadway and crashed into a bedroom of a nearby house.
The two boys and a 12-year-old girl were in the bedroom when the collision occurred.
Luis Lopez was killed in the collision after being pinned under the vehicle.
Matthew sustained major injuries and was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital.
The girl, Marissa Lopez, was unhurt.
Preliminary investigation report indicates that the motorist had suffered a seizure causing him to lose control of the car.
An investigation is ongoing.
