Katelyn Decamp Hurt in Willows Accident on Highway 99 and County Road 18
Willows, California (May 14, 2019) – Passenger injured after a traffic crash Sunday afternoon in the area of Willows has been identified as 22-year-old Katelyn Decamp from Orland, according to authorities.
The collision happened at around 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, on Highway 99, between Willows and Orland.
As per the officials, 58-year-old Lianxay Louankang was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on County Road when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was hit by an oncoming Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Clint Johns, 25, of Orland at the junction. The impact caused the Toyota to strike an olive tree.
Decamp, a Silverado passenger, suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. Decamp was rushed to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
Three other persons including Johns and his passenger sustained minor injuries following the collision.
The two cars sustained significant damage in the crash.
Authorities did not suspect drugs or alcohol to have played a role in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
