Man Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Accident on East Warren Avenue Identified
Fremont, California (December 8, 2017) – 65-year-old Joseph Lynch was identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Fremont on Tuesday, December 5.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred in the area of East Warren Avenue and Bradley Avenue at around 5:37 p.m.
Lynch succumbed to his injuries at the scene after being hit by a 2010 Honda Insight driven by 58-year-old San Leandro woman who fled the scene after the accident.
The vehicle was later found parked in the area of Mission Boulevard and Warm Springs Boulevard.
The motorist was located and was questioned by the authorities. However, she was not arrested.
The woman told the police that she did not notice the pedestrian in the crosswalk.
An investigation is ongoing.
