Man Killed in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident on Old Alfred Harrell Highway
Bakersfield, California (November 15, 2017) – John Rous, 78, of Bakersfield, was killed in a bicycle accident in Bakersfield on Tuesday, November 14.
The fatal bicycle accident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on Old Alfred Harrell Highway.
According to a local news source, Rous was riding his bicycle westbound on the road when he was hit by a Toyota Scion. The Toyota had been traveling east on the road and was making a turn when the collision occurred.
Rous sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
