Jenny Aguilar Critically Injured after Madera Crash at Olive Avenue and Monterey Street
Madera, California (June 26, 2019) – Authorities have identified 15-year-old Jenny Aguilar as the teen pedestrian injured after a suspected hit-and-run collision on Friday in Madera, according to authorities.
The collision was reported on Friday, June 14, at Olive Avenue and Monterey Street.
As per the officials, Aguilar was crossing Olive Avenue when a 2016 black Hyundai driven by 27-year-old Paul Cano hit him.
Responding paramedics found Aguilar lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. The patient was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was listed in a critical condition.
The Hyundai sustained significant front damage due to the crash.
Authorities confirmed that Cano fled from the scene after the crash. He was later arrested at around noon the following day at Valley Fitness in the 3000 block of North Blackstone Avenue in Fresno.
An investigation is underway.
