Man Killed in Oakland Bicycle Accident at Harrison and Seventh Streets
Oakland, California (December 10, 2017) – Grant Anthony Webb Jr. 32, was fatally struck by a car in Chinatown on Wednesday, December 6, according to a local news source.
The accident was reported at about 10:53 p.m. in the area of Harrison and Seventh streets.
As per the report, the Oakland man was riding his bicycle at the intersection when he was struck by a Dodge Charger which was heading north on Harrison Street.
The man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorist, a 29-year-old Hayward man, remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
Although an investigation is ongoing, the driver is believed to have been speeding prior to the collision.
