Girl Injured in Merced Pedestrian Accident at R and 18th Streets
Merced, California (December 5, 2017) – A child was injured in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Merced on Monday, December 4.
The pedestrian accident was reported at about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of R and 18th streets.
According to a local news report, the 3-year-old girl and her mother were walking across a road at the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle.
The girl sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Valley Children’s Hospital.
The authorities are yet to locate the hit-and-run motorist. The suspect was driving a vehicle described as a late 90’s maroon Honda Accord.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
