Woman Killed in Sonoma Head-On Collision on Highway 12 Identified
Sonoma, California (November 16, 2017) – Estefania Soto, 27, was identified as the woman killed in a traffic collision, which left a 7-year-old girl injured, in Agua Caliente on Tuesday, November 14.
According to a local news source, the fatal accident occurred on Highway 12 near London Way and Agua Caliente Road at about 7:45 a.m.
As per the article, Soto and the girl, both residents of Boyes Hot Springs, were traveling southbound in their Nissan Sentra when they collided head-on with a 2004 Ford Truck operated by 25-year-old Jose Manuel Lopez Perez.
Soto was killed in the collision.
The girl sustained major injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital before she was flown to Children’s Hospital Oakland in critical condition.
Lopez-Perez was seriously injured and was also hospitalized.
Lopez-Perez was cited for DUI.
An investigation is ongoing.
