Elderly Woman Killed in Fatal San Leandro Auto-Pedestrian Crash at 14th Street
San Leandro, California (January 13, 2018) – According to the California Highway Patrol, an elderly woman was killed in a pedestrian accident Friday morning in San Leandro.
The fatal incident took place just before 7 a.m. Friday, January 12 at East 14th Street and Fairmont Drive.
Troopers said that the woman was waiting at a bus stop when she stepped off a curb into the lane of traffic and was struck by a passing vehicle.
The woman died at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with the authorities.
