Man Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Long Beach Boulevard
Long Beach, California (November 29, 2017) – An elderly man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Long Beach on Monday, November 27.
According to a report by the Long Beach Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred in the 6000 block of Long Beach Boulevard at about 5:15 p.m.
The man, believed to be in his 70s, had been walking outside a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle whose driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and the injured pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The identity of the man was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
