Man Killed in Fresno Head-On Collision on Central Avenue Identified
Fresno, California (December 6, 2017) – 53-year-old Edward Marquez of Fowler was identified as the man killed in a head-on collision in Fresno on Thursday, November 30.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Central Avenue near Temperance Avenue at around 5:00 p.m.
As per the report, a Ford Ranger traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when for unknown reasons, it veered across the centerline into the westbound lanes and struck a Toyota Tacoma before colliding head-on with a Chevy pickup truck operated by Marquez.
Marquez died at the scene while his unidentified passenger sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Community Regional Med Center in critical condition.
The Ford driver also sustained major injuries and was hospitalized in the same facility.
No further information regarding the collision was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
