Man Killed in Riverside Motorcycle Accident on Chicago Avenue
Riverside, California (December 29, 2017) – Edward Cellucci, 62, died after his motorcycle crashed into a passenger vehicle on Wednesday afternoon, December 27.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on Chicago Avenue near Le Conte Drive.
Officials of the Riverside Police Department responding to the incident learned that a mid-size SUV was southbound when it made a turn ahead of Cellucci’s motorcycle which was heading in the same direction.
The rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at about 5:55 p.m.
The SUV driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. A section of Chicago Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Le Conte Drive was temporarily closed to facilitate clearing operation.
An investigation is underway.
