Bicyclist Killed in North Highlands Hit-and-Run Accident on Watts Avenue
North Highlands, California (November 15, 2017) – Daulton Kilpatrick, 19, was killed in a bicycle accident in North Highlands on Sunday, November 12.
The fatal bicycle accident occurred at about 10:45 p.m. on Watts Avenue near Peacekeeper Way.
According to a statement by the CHP, the deceased had been riding his bicycle on the road when he was struck from behind by a vehicle which sped off after the collision.
The bicyclist was ejected from his bike and was struck by a second driver. The second driver is reported to have stopped and notified the authorities.
Kilpatrick was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
