According to a local news source, the collision occurred at the intersection of Mojave Drive and East Trail shortly before 3 p.m.
Officials say a Honda Civic was being driven eastbound on Mojave Drive when it crashed into the semi-truck which was making a turn at the intersection.
A 26-year-old male driver of the Civic and his 24-year-old female passenger were injured in the collision and were taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. A child who was also in the car was hospitalized as a precautionary measure.
