1 Killed and 2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 41 in Coarsegold
Coarsegold, California (December 9, 2017) – 90-year-old Billie Williams of Coarsegold was killed in a collision, which left two other people injured, in Coarsegold on Thursday, December 7.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. in the 35680 block of Highway 41.
As per a report by the California Highway Patrol, 70-year old Linda Sue Murphy of Coarsegold was driving a Lexus northbound when she made an unsafe turn and collided with a Ford which was traveling south on the road.
Williams, who was a passenger in the Lexus sustained major injuries and was flown to Community Regional Medical Center. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Murphy was hospitalized with severe injuries while.
The driver of the Ford, identified as 38-year-old Summer Kieffer sustained minor injuries. However, the motorist declined treatment.
