2 Killed and 3 Injured in Los Olivos Car Crash on Highway 154
Los Olivos, California (December 18, 2017) – An alleged DUI collision killed two people and injured three others in the Los Olivos area of Los Angeles, on Sunday, December 17.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred on Highway 154 near Zaca Station Road at about 2:00 a.m.
Officials of the California Highway Patrol said that a Nissan SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 154 when the driver crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a Honda Accord.
The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to roll over and was struck by a passing minivan.
A passenger in the Dodge, Antonia Bautista Santiago, and the unidentified driver of the Honda, both residents of Santa Maria, were killed in the collision.
The minivan driver, Aurelio Salvador Zaragoza, and two passengers of the Honda were injured in the collision and were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver, Rigoberto Gracida Paucene, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
An investigation is ongoing.
