3 Injured in Valley Springs 2-Car Crash on Highway 12 near Creek Road
Valley Springs, California (November 28, 2017) – At least three people were injured in an alleged DUI collision in Calaveras County on Sunday, November 26.
According to a local news source, the two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 12 near Creek Road shortly after 6:30 p.m.
As per a report by the CHP, 31-year-old Diana Romero was driving her 2007 Lexus and was attempting to pass a vehicle when she collided head-on with a 2002 Jeep operated by Amy Black, 40, of Columbia.
Black sustained major injuries and was taken San Juan Medical Center while her two passengers Zofia Ajemian and Vida Crofutt sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment.
Meanwhile, Romero was cited for DUI.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
