2 Injured in Merced 4-Vehicle Collision on Santa Fe Drive near Franklin Road.
Merced, California (December 9, 2017) – Alicia Dominquez, 23, and Ana Rubio, 22, were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Merced on Monday, December 4.
According to a local news release, the four-vehicle collision was reported shortly after 8 a.m. on Santa Fe Drive near Franklin Road.
As per the report, Dominquez was driving her Nissan Altima when she failed to notice traffic slow ahead of her. She then rear-ended a Honda Accord driven by Rubio before striking two other vehicles operated by Vivian Lozano, 30, of Winton and Julia Hughes, 60, of Atwater.
Dominquez, a resident of Merced, was injured in the collision and was taken to Emanuel Med Center while Rubio of Winton was rushed to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
An investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing.
