Man Killed in Salinas Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident at Main Street and Rochex Avenue
Salinas, California (December 13, 2017) – Alan Ellis, 52, was identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a car at an intersection in Salinas on Sunday, December 10.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred at around 12:06 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Rochex Avenue.
The pedestrian had been walking in a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle. The motorist fled the scene after the accident.
Ellis was killed in the collision.
Meanwhile, the authorities located and arrested the hit-and-run motorist identified as 36-year-old Sonia Cano.
Cano faces charges including DUI, vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.
An investigation is ongoing.
