1 Killed and 6 Injured in Diamond Bar Car Crash on 60 Freeway
Diamond Bar, California (November 28, 2017) – Abraham Franco, 29, was identified as the man who was killed in a traffic accident, which left six other people injured, on Sunday, November 26.
The fatal collision reportedly occurred on the eastbound lanes of the 60 freeway near Diamond Bar Boulevard shortly after 3 a.m.
According to a report by the CHP, Melissa Murga was driving her 2001 Chevrolet Impala when it was involved in a minor collision with a dark-colored Honda CRV.
As Murga and her passenger, Abraham, were exiting their vehicle, it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado operated by John Swick.
The impact of the collision caused the Impala to overturn ejecting the two occupants.
Abraham was killed in the collision while Murga and three children identified as 1-year-old Abby Franco, 5-year-old E. Franco, and 9-year-old Jada Franco were injured.
Swick and his passenger, Ashley Stevens, were also injured in the collision.
Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Honda, who initially abandoned his vehicle at the scene and fled on foot, was later located and taken into custody.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
