2 Injured in Wilmington Train Accident on Lomita Boulevard
Wilmington, California (December 21, 2017) – Two people were injured after their car was struck by a train on Wednesday, December 20, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at around 1:17 a.m. in the 1302 block of East Lomita Boulevard.
Officials said a passenger car and a BNSF freight train collided for unknown reasons.
Emergency teams responding to the incident found two people trapped inside the car. The two unidentified victims were rescued and transported to local hospitals for treatment.
