1 Killed and 4 Injured in Shafter Car Crash at Highway 43 and Santa Fe Way
Shafter, California (December 12, 2017) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision which left four others injured on Sunday, December 10.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 4:28 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 43 and Santa Fe Way.
A 2014 Infiniti Q506 and another unidentified car were involved in the collision.
Although the manner of the collision was unknown, the two vehicles sustained major damage and some occupants had to be extricated from the wreckage.
A female driver of the second vehicle was killed in the collision.
The driver of the Infiniti sustained unspecified injuries and was airlifted to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
Three other parties, a young girl and two young boys, were also transported to hospitals in unknown condition.
No further information was provided.
An investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing.
