1 Killed and 3 Injured in Arvin Car Crash on Rancho Drive near Herring Road
Arvin, California (November 27, 2017) – At least one person was killed and three others injured in a traffic collision in Arvin, Kern County, on Sunday, November 26.
According to a local news source, the head-on collision occurred on Rancho Drive near Herring Road at about 3:20 a.m.
According to a statement by the CHP, a 27-year-old man was driving his 2012 Toyota northbound on Rancho Drive when he collided head-on with a southbound John Deere tractor operated by a 57-year-old man from Lamont.
The driver of the Toyota, a resident of Arvin, was killed in the collision while his three passengers were hospitalized.
One of the three patients, a 27-year-old man, is reported to have sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kern Medical while the other two were treated for moderate injuries.
The tractor driver was unhurt.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
